The Laura Centre’s vital service deems it classified as a key working service in the COVID19 pandemic. We come under social care and we work with bereaved vulnerable children, young people and adults. TLC has been providing specialist professional bereavement counselling and therapeutic support, within the communities we serve, for nearly 30 years. The beneficiaries of our services have all experienced untimely death of a child, a parent/carer or a sibling. 75% of the people referred will have experienced traumatic and sudden death including fatal accidents, suicides, murder and now COVID 19.
In addition to our usual remit, our service is now also open to any person that has been affected by a death due to Covid-19. Our advice line is available to all adults, as well as professionals and parents who may need some guidance on supporting children and young people through the Covid-19 pandemic. Call us on 0116 2182140 to get some advice, guidance or support at this difficult time. Please note that this advice line is also available to The Laura Centre clients who may have postponed their sessions but require some support or advice.
